Depression is actually a common side effect of klonopin. I truly believe klonopin makes you more depressed. at least that was my experience.

Wow. I thought it was just my depression...but i noticed the day after i take klonopin, I usually break out bawling for no reason, truly, just stupid stuff, makes me bawl. I was certain it was the klonipin and my Pdoc switched me to xanax. I truly believe klonopin makes you more depressed. at least that was my experience. hang in there.... -Imbirdlady.

Klonopin is long acting so I think it would work with your dose during the day as well.

When in the past I have taken Klonopin, I noticed I was depressed the next day. But this is only a POTENTIAL side effect, and doesn't happen to most people.

I have dealt with depression for 2 1/2 years and have tried many medications, only two of which helped. I went through ECT treatment 3 months ago b/c.
